FAMILY AND friends gathered at St Luke's Church, Whaley Thorns, for the service which preceded burial at Langwith cemetery of Mrs Marie Crew (46), of George Street, Langwith.Born at Scarsdale Hospital, Chesterfield, and educated at Park Road, Shirebrook, and Moorfield schools, Bolsover, then Clowne College, Mrs Crew was a resident of the area for 22 years.She was a teaching assistant at Bassett School, Langwith Junction, a Queens Guide for Brownies and Girl Guides District Commissioner for five years.Her interests included camping with the Guides and holidays with her husband, family and nephew Josh.Mrs Crew, who died at Scarsdale Hospital, Chesterfield, leaves her husband, Russell and her parents, Mr and Mrs Derek Wootton of Shirebrook.Mourners were Mr R.
