Bonington Road, Mansfield.

Over 40 of his friends arrived
for the service on their
scooters to join over 400
mourners.
Born at Kirkby and educated there at Kirkby Comprehensive
School, Mr Woods, who had lived locally all his
life had worked as a joiner.
He was a member of the Mansfield Roadrunners Scooter
Club and was an avid fan of Newcastle United Football
Club. He also loved Northern Soul music and enjoyed fishing
and the saxaphone.
Mr Woods, who died at King's Mill Hospital, Sutton
leaves his partner of 19 years, Miss Louise Glendenning,
son Jamie Woods, mother, Mrs Betty Woods of Kirkby,
brother, Gerald, sister-in-law, Karen and nieces, Lisa and
Katie.
