A service at Shirebrook's
Holy trinity Church preceded
burial at the town's
cemetery of mrs Rita Radford
(74), of Hereward Close,
Shirebrook.
Born at Shirebrook and educated
locally at Carter Lane
and the model Girls' schools,
mrs Radford had been a lifelong
local resident.
She had worked as a bus
conductor and at Pleasley
mills, later taking numerous
jobs until retiring. Her interests
included playing bingo,
holidays and her family.
mrs Radford, who died at Chesterfield Royal Hospital,
Calow, leaves her husband, mr Roy Radford, four sons Nigel,
dale, Craig and Kelvin, daughter Sharon, 10 grandchildren
and five great-grandchildren.
