Mr Alan Burkitt

Mr David Alan Burkitt of Brimington,
passed away at home aged 78.
Born in Barrow Hill, he was a local resident for approximately 70 years.
He worked as an Engineer, starting his career at Staveley Works, then worked in South Africa, where he met his wife, Hazel. They returned home and Alan worked at Dema Glass before becoming a partner in a company.
Alan enjoyed gardening, history, motorbikes, cars and travel.
Alan was predeceased by his wife
Hazel Chloe Burkitt, he leaves
his step son and step daughter, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren, his sister, brother-in-law and nephew.
Funeral service takes place Tuesday, October 7, 1.10pm at Brimington Crematorium.
Funeral directors: Co-op Funeralcare, 276 Newbold Road, Chesterfield
