Mr Alan Roe, known as Aly, of Grassmoor has passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, aged 89.
Born on New Street, Grassmoor and a lifelong local resident, Aly was a retired mineworker.
His interests included horse racing, bingo, football and he was a retired pigeon fancier.
Aly leaves his wife June, son Glyn, grandchildren Luke and Megan, great-grandchildren Isaac and Macy.
The funeral service takes place on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, Hasland Church, at 1pm.
Donations to Eastwood Ward at Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
