Mr Andrew Roger Hooper, of Wingerworth, has passed away aged 60.
Born in Chesterfield and a lifelong local resident, Andrew was former owner of The Cannon, Clay Cross, before owning Hasland Fruit & Flowers, latterly working for Twiggs of Matlock.
His priority was always his family. He loved his family holidays, especially since becoming a Grandad. He loved all sports mainly golf and football and was a member of Stonedge Golf Club and enjoyed going to watch Chesterfield Football Club, playing five a side football with "the lads", get togethers and socialising with their many friends. He shared the interests of his daughters passion of the equestrian world and loved the comfort of their own home and garden.
Andrew leaves his wife Julie, daughters Natalie and son-in-law Sam, daughter Lauren and fiancé Rob, grandchildren William and Ruby, parents Pat and Peter Hooper, and mother-in-law Veronica Cannon.
The funeral service takes place on Friday, December 29, 2023, Wingerworth Parish Church, at 11am, followed by private burial at Boythorpe. Afterwards at Chesterfield Football Club.
Donations to Ashgate Hospice.
