Mr John Barry Turner of Duckmanton has passed away at Balmoral Care Home, aged 91.
Born in Birmingham and a resident locally for 85 years, Barry was a highways worker.
His interests included gardening, baking and spending time with family.
The funeral service takes place on Monday, October 13, Brimington Methodist Church, at 10am, followed by burial at Staveley Cemetery.
