Mr Carmine Cataldo of Goldwell Manor Nursing Home, Chesterfield, has passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, on August 6, 2025, aged 95.
Born in Montefalcione, Avellino, Italy and a resident of Bedford for 48 years, then Chesterfield for 25 years. Carmine was a foundry worker, making bricks and also working in the engineering works.
His interests included his allotments, gardening, making wine, holidays with family in Italy, being a wonderful Husband, Father and Grandfather.
Carmine was predeceased by his wife Maria and daughter Angela. He leaves daughter Antonietta Brady, son-in-law Paul, grandchildren Domenico, Carmela and Roberto, great-grandchild Santino.
The funeral service takes place on September 16, 2025, Annunciation Church, 2 Spencer Street, Chesterfield, at 11.00am, followed by burial at Boythorpe Cemetery, at 12.15pm.

Sincere condolences Antonietta to you and your family. I first met your father at the allotments, he had a plot next to my dad's back in the 2000's. Carmine was always polite and friendly, and he will leave us with happy memories, especially his generous 70th wedding Anniversary party. Thanks Carmine for being such lovely person you will be missed, love Tony and Wendy x
