Mr C. Fox

Woolley Moor Mr Cedric George Samuel Fox, (known as Sam), of Beresford Lane, Woolley Moor, Alfreton, has died at The Old Vicarage, Clay Cross, aged 89.
Born at Woolley Moor and a lifelong
resident of the area, he worked as a teacher at Clay Cross Junior School from
1946 - 1969, then became landlord of the New Napoleon Inn, Woolley Moor until December 1993.
Mr Fox was treasurer of St Mark's Church for 39 years, also secretary of Woolley Moor vegetable society and later
president.
He enjoyed attending Leytonfield club, Ashover lunch club, liked reading,
spending time with family and friends and in his younger days enjoyed
travelling.
The widower of Annie, he leaves one son George, one daughter-in-law Jill, two grandchildren Robert and Katie and one grandson-in-law Wayne.
