Mr Christopher Paul Miller, of Ashover, has passed away unexpectedly at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, on August 27, 2024, aged 68.
Born in Nottingham and a resident of Ashover since early childhood, he attended Mount St Mary's School, Spinkhill. Chris worked in Rotherham at the family refrigeration business on leaving college. He later worked from Ashover as a Consultant Engineer and travelled extensively around the world during the course of his career, making many friends on the way.
Chris was enthusiastic about his work with Ashover Parish Council and liked to support a number of village clubs and societies. His hobbies and interests included flying (light aircraft), aviation history, cars and cooking.
Chris leaves his wife Janet, son James and daughter Sarah.
The funeral service takes place at Ashover Parish Church on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 12noon.
Family flowers only, donations to the British Heart Foundation and Ashgate Hospice.
