Lower Pilsley
Mr Colin Wright of Lower Pilsley has passed away at home, aged 87.
Born in Chesterfield and a lifelong local resident, Colin trained as an electrician and ran a wholesale sweet business with his Dad for over 20 years. Then was a housing/homeless officer in both Chesterfield Borough Council and Dales Housing, until his retirement aged 70.
His first love was Jesus! He enjoyed spending time with his family, was a lifetime supporter of Chesterfield Football Club, played in Chesterfield's Table Tennis League for many years and enjoyed a game of snooker.
Colin leaves his wife Christine, daughters Louise Cooper and Michelle Gough, and five grandchildren.
The funeral service takes place at Pilsley Village Hall, Pear Tree Road, S45 8HU, on January 30, 2026, at 2pm.
