Mr David Michael Allen of Central Drive, Wingerworth has passed away in Derby, aged 81.
Born on 'D' Day at Willersley Castle, Cromford, near Matlock, David lived at Clay Cross, Handley and then Wingerworth.
He worked as an instrument technician at The Avenue Plant then ran his own plumbing & heating business with his son David, until he retired in 2004.
David was a Derby County supporter for 65 years, he loved holidays, walking, going to the gym, reading, cryptic crosswords and spending time with his family.
David leaves his wife Liz Allen,
his children Dave, Debbie and stepson Steven, his sister Minnie and her husband Mick and his grandchildren Andrew, Rebecca, Matthew and Bethany.
Funeral service takes place Friday, October 24, Chesterfield Crematorium at 12.10pm.
