Mr David Frederick Roe, of North Wingfield, has passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, aged 76.
Born at Ashgate Lodge, Brampton and a lifelong local resident, David was an Electrical Engineer for East Midlands Electricity Board, until his retirement in 2000 after 37 years' service.
He was a lifelong member of Chesterfield Football Club, liked playing football and golf, caravanning, socialising and spending time with family and friends.
David leaves his wife Barbara, daughters Joanne and Julie, grandchildren Joshua, Samuel, Jacob and Rebecca.
The funeral service takes place at The Chapel, Market Street, Clay Cross, on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 1pm, followed by burial at Hasland Cemetery.
The wake will take place after the service at the Bluebell Inn, North Wingfield S42 5HY.
