Mr Dennis Allen of Staveley, Chesterfield has passed away on November 12, 2025, aged 84.
Born in Barrow Hill and a lifelong local resident, Dennis worked at Barrow Hill Railway, British Steel and Staveley Chemicals, retiring in 1995.
His interests included his allotment, running, long walks in the Peaks, karaoke, jigsaws, DIY, gardening, growing chrysanthemums, making things and helping others with their gardens.
Dennis was predeceased by his wife Pauline. He leaves daughter Tanith, sons Matthew and Stephen and seven grandchildren.
The funeral service takes place on Tuesday, December 2, Chesterfield Crematorium, at 14.30hrs.
