Mr Dennis Birchall
Brimington
Mr Dennis Birchall of Brimington has passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, aged 89.
Born in Staveley and a lifelong local resident, Dennis was a train driver, then postal worker and finally a British Telecom engineer.
His interests included coarse fishing, steam trains, static caravan (Skegness) and spending time with family.
Dennis was predeceased by his wife Barbara in July 2019, also sons Gary and Paul. He leaves step children Philip, Barbara, Paul and Jane, grandchildren Benjamin, Glen, Liam, Jordan, Curtis, great-grandson Joey, step grandchildren Caroline, Christopher, Chloe, Kevin, Michael, Robert and Laura, seven step great-grandchildren and one step great great-grandson.
The funeral service takes place on Wednesday, March 18, Chesterfield Crematorium, at 12 noon.
Donations to Ashgate Hospice.
