Sadly passed away at 92 years of age on Sunday 7th June, 2015.
Sadly missed Mum, Sister, Grandma, Great-Grandma, Auntie and Friend.
Funeral service to be at Duffield Methodist Church, King Street, Duffield at 12 noon on Friday 26th June.
Funeral Directors are T. Ryde, Belper.

From absent friend Maureen Wharton in NZ
She was an amazing women I used to watch her striding out on Stokes Valley on her way home from the swimming pool early in the morning. When I started swimming and met up with Dorothy I told her how she had inspired me. She used to walk all the way to Taita to visit an "elderly" friend. I remember too the swim suit she used to wear and I am sure it was yours when you were a young girl. She was full of fun and so lively with her line dancing and so many other activities. She would tell me about her family and her grandaughter whom she loved too. Unfortunately we are in NZ but I do appreciate you letting me know. I was very fond of Dorothy. I often thought of the way she came to live in NZ (no spring chicken) but how she embraced it. Thank God she returned to the UK. A life to celebrate thats for sure. Thank you so much for letting me know.
