Mr Eric Priest of Wingerworth has passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, aged 87.
Born in Chesterfield and a lifelong local resident, Eric was a plant fitter/engineer for Shands and Palamatic, then a handyman and gardener until his retirement.
His interests included tinkering with engines, looking after the garden and formerly pigeon racing.
Eric was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Helen. He leaves sons Jeff and Keith, five granddaughters and ten great-grandchildren.
The funeral service takes place on Tuesday, February 17, Chesterfield Crematorium, S43 1AU, at 11.15am.
