New Whittington
Mrs Esme Buxton of New Whittington has passed away, aged 93.
A lifelong resident, Esme worked as a wages clerk at Markhams, BTH and Dema Glass before taking time out to bring up her family. She later qualified as a teacher and worked at Whittington Moor Infants before retiring early to care for elderly family members.
Family was her focus and she enjoyed dancing, gardening, sewing and travelled extensively in the U.K and Europe.
Esme was predeceased by her husband, Grenville, and her son, Graham. She leaves a daughter, Carole, grandchildren, Jonathan, Matthew and Nicola and nine great-grandchildren.
The funeral takes place at Chesterfield Crematorium on Thursday, November 27, at 10.50am.
