Harry was a good friend of our family, particularly my dad Brian and mum Brenda. I was saddened to hear of his passing, another of the old guard gone. Harry was part of my formative years, helping to instill in me what I still hope are open, progressive and, dare I say it in this day and age, socialist beliefs.

I was a day release student of Harrys from 1966 to 69 and followed a similar educational route via Coleg Harlech and Hull.I still have his "class map" of who was who from our first class and remember taking him and Ann to Coleg Harlech when he was guest Speaker at an ex student reunion. He was a good man and will always be remembered with affection.
