Ingrid Pasteur of Matlock has passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital aged 87 years.
Born in Frankfurt-am-Main, Germany, Ingrid lived locally for 20 years.
During her working life, Ingrid was a teacher for 40 years.
Ingrid was a local councillor and
Mayor of Darley Dale in 2013,
she was active in the church as well as being very involved with Fairtrade and Darley Dale in Bloom.
She was a keen gardener, a member of a local book club and an active member of the local community.
Predeceased by her husband David in 2004, Ingrid leaves her children Christopher, Mary-Anne, Elizabeth, Katherine and Veronica along
with ten grandchildren.
Funeral service to be held at
Our Lady and St Joseph Catholic Church, Matlock on Thursday 22nd May 2025 at 11.00am followed by burial in Darley Dale Cemetery.
Family flowers only please but donations if desired for the Amos Trust Gaza Appeal and these may be sent c/o

I have been looking for my foster mother Ingrid. She sponsored my college education here in Uganda.
I am greatly suddened to learn of her passing on.
May the good Lord grant her soul a peaceful rest.
