Mrs Irene Elizabeth Kerry of Clay Cross has passed away aged 79.
Born in Grassmoor and a resident of Clay Cross for around 60 years, Irene started her working life as a sewing machinist at John Smedley's in Clay Cross. She then became a cleaner at TSB, Greenacres, Clay Cross Works (Biwater), then Powersports, all in Clay Cross, until her retirement.
Her interests included sitting outside in the garden, watching television soaps and gameshows, also spending time with her family.
Irene leaves her husband Godfrey (Goff), son Paul, daughter Jane, son-in-law Phil, grandchildren Alex, Reece and Holly, great-grandchild Isabelle.
The funeral service takes place on Wednesday, December 17, Chesterfield Crematorium, at 13.10hrs.
