Mrs Ivy Shaw, of Grassmoor, formerly of Curber Close, North Wingfield, has passed away at Brookholme Croft Nursing Home, Hasland, aged 92.
Born in Clay Cross and a lifelong local resident, Ivy started work at Belper Mill after leaving school, she later worked in the canteen at Deincourt School.
Her interests included meeting friends at North Wingfield Miners Welfare for a good 'chin wag' and a game of bingo. She also loved gardening and knitting.
Ivy was predeceased by her husband Albert. She leaves sons and daughters Gail, Alvin, Anthony, Allan and Lisa, and six grandchildren.
The funeral service takes place on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, Chesterfield Crematorium, at 11.30am.
