Mr John Clifford Barley (Jack) of Calow has passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, on September 28, 2025, aged 85.
Born in Calow and a lifelong local resident, Jack was a miner for six years and then a farmer for the rest of his working life.
His interests included photography, he was a train enthusiast and enjoyed his trips to Scotland through the years.
Jack leaves his companion and friend for over 30 years, Betty. He was predeceased by his parents Jack and Hilda and brother Arthur.
The funeral service takes place on Wednesday, October 15, Chesterfield Crematorium, at 12.50pm.
Donations in lieu of flowers to RNLI and Air Ambulance.
