Mrs Joan Lunn of Clay Cross has passed away at her home aged 85.
Born in Danesmoor and a lifelong local resident, Joan began her working life at Robinsons of Chesterfield, before moving on to Ashton Containers in her early 20s, staying until her retirement.
Her interests included cooking, gardening and travelling, having visited many countries over the years, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Joan was predeceased by her husband Patrick.
The funeral service takes place on Friday, October 3, 2025, St. Bartholomew's Church, Clay Cross at 11.00am followed by burial in Danesmoor Cemetery at 11.45am.

Very sad to read this. I knew Joan quite well from the years she worked as our lovely cleaner at the NEDDC offices in Holmgate. She was excellent, worked very hard, was very friendly and kind, joined in the "good times" and lent an ear in the "not-so-good times", she was one of our "Holmgate family". RIP Joan, I know you will be missed by all your family.
