Mr John Atkinson of Walton has passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, on February 19, 2026, aged 78.
Born in Chesterfield and a lifelong local resident, John was a labourer/paint sprayer.
He was a steam train enthusiast and enjoyed DIY and gardening.
John leaves his wife Jennifer, daughter Sophie, son-in-law Matthew, grandsons Roman and Harley.
The funeral service takes place on Monday, March 23, Chesterfield Crematorium, at 10.30am.
