Mr John Knighton Botham of Wingerworth has passed away in
Bakewell Cottage Nursing Home on September 13, 2025, aged 89 years. Born in Brampton, John was a lifelong local resident. He was an Estate Agent. John's interests included golf, gardening, holidays, walking, socialising, spending time with family and he was a member of Scarsdale 41 Club and Chesterfield's Rotary Club.
John was predeceased by his wife Pam and leaves behind daughter Jayne & her husband Stephen, son Peter & his wife Nicky, daughter Kerry & her husband Martin, grandchildren Katie, George, Amy, Emma, Will, Charlie and Bertie, also great granddaughters Nora and Enid. A Celebration of life to take placeat Storrs Road Methodist Church on Friday, October 17, at 10.45am. The family have requested you wear what you like, but no black please.
Any donations in memory of John will go to Ashgate Hospice, these may be given on the day or can be sent to
