Mr John Vincent Dicker of Staveley, Chesterfield, has passed away at home
on 24th November 2022, aged 90 years.
Born in Staveley and a lifelong local resident, John previously worked as a sign writer, was in National Service in the Armed Forces for 2 years, worked at Coalite, Tube Works, T.W Wards Scrap Metal Burners and Staveley Works
(Retired from Staveley Works).
His interests included Fishing, Crown Green Bowling, Darts but he was a family man first and foremost.
John leaves his wife Barbara, his
children Sue, John and Janet,
sons-in-law Adrian and Graham, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
The funeral service takes place on Monday 19th December at 10.00am in Spencer St, Roman Catholic Church, then 11.30am at Staveley Cemetery.
