Mr John Kitchener, aged 93 and Mrs Sheila Rose Kitchener, aged 87, both of Meadowside Close, Wingerworth have passed away.
Born in Chesterfield and lifelong local residents, John worked as an electrician for the coal board and Sheila worked as a school cook until they retired. They had many hobbies and interests, John enjoyed gardening, tinkering in his shed, walking, motorcycling, music, travelling and ballroom dancing, Sheila liked knitting, socialising, spending time with family, baking, crosswords, ballroom dancing and travelling.
They were predeceased by their son Melvin John Kitchener, they leave granddaughters Jessica Toft and Kimberley Kitchener, five great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
Funeral service takes place Thursday, July 17, Chesterfield and District Crematorium at 12.30pm.
Family request for everyone attending to wear something blue.
