Mr John William Tagg of Duckmanton, formerly of Newbold & Brookside, passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital aged 86.
Born in Chesterfield and a lifelong local resident, John worked at the Post Office from leaving school until the mid 1960's and then became a self employed dairyman until he retired at the start of the millenium.
As a young man John enjoyed playing football and table tennis, he liked to watch all sports, doing sudoku, crosswords and other puzzles, he had an interest in world affairs and music.
John was predeceased by his wife Joan Tagg, he leaves his children David, Robert, Graham, Paul, Ruth and Lesley, 17 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
A memorial service takes place Tuesday, October 14, 12.30pm at Chesterfield
& District Crematorium, Chesterfield, followed by burial service, 1.15pm
at Spital Cemetery, Hady Hill.
