Joseph Davidson Obituary

Mr Joseph (Joe) Davidson, of Bolsover, has died at Haddon Lodge care home, Clowne, aged 91. Born at Brimington and a lifelong resident of the area, he was a miner at Bolsover Colliery all his working life. Mr Davidson was a founder member of the Hillstown Whippet Club, member of Coalite sports and social club and enjoyed gardening, walking, socialising, indoor games and in his younger days he played football and cricket.The widower of Renee, he leaves daughter Susan, son Bryan, daughterin-law Doreen, grandsons Scott and Shane and great-grandchildren David and Darcie. The funeral service is due to take place at Bolsover Parish Church on Tuesday, July 23, at 11.45am and will be followed by cremation at Brimington at 12.50pm. Donations to R.N.L.I and Air Ambulance.
