Mr Joseph Stevens, known as Joe of Danesmoor has passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, on October 11, aged 89.
Born in Chesterfield and a lifelong local resident, Joe was a miner, until his retirement in 1986.
His interests included gardening, horse racing and socialising at Bestwood WMC.
Joe was predeceased by his wife Ada. He leaves five children, 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service takes place on Tuesday, November 11, Chesterfield Crematorium, at 13.30hrs.
