Mrs June Brown
Wingerworth
Mrs June Marie Brown (nee Edwards), aged 86, has passed away at The Old Vicarage Care Home, Clay Cross.
A resident of Wingerworth for many years, she attended All Saints Church and enjoyed socialising and eating out with family and friends.
She attended Rother Junior School, Hunloke Girls School and Chesterfield College. On leaving school she worked for John Harrison & Sons, Markham Road, until their closure in 1967. She then worked for the Inland Revenue, Clay Cross Company, Chesterfield Library, Robert Hyde and the Ante Natal Clinic, Chesterfield Royal Hospital.
She married Peter at St Augustine's Church in 1967, they had one daughter Rebecca Marie who both predeceased her. She leaves sisters Jill and Margaret, brothers-in-law Bryn and Trevor, and numerous nephews and nieces.
The funeral service will take place at 11.00am, on October 17, 2025, All Saints Church, Wingerworth, followed by cremation at Chesterfield Crematorium.
Donations to Ashgate Hospice may be given on the day or sent to funeral directors: J.E. Nicholson, 329 Langer Lane, Chesterfield (01246 207037).

I am very sad to read this very sad news. I worked with June in Ante Natal clinic. One of the loveliest ladies you could ever meet. RIP beautiful lady. Hope you are now reunited with Peter and Rebecca. xxxx
