Mr Michael White of Hasland has passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital on January 11, aged 85 years.
Born in Brampton and a resident of Hasland for 60 years, Michael worked as a Chesterfield Transport Bus Conductor for 32 years, then was a doorman at Hasland Working Men's Club for eight years and was a voluntary shop assistant at the Crooked Spire Gift Shop.
His interests included steam trains, bus rallies and family.
Michael leaves his wife Margaret, daughters Judith Elizabeth and Rachael Anne, four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and twin sister Margaret Thoms.
A private family wake will take place after the funeral service at Chesterfield Crematorium, on Thursday, February 5, at 10.30am.
