Newton Mrs Esme Allen, of Newton, has died at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, aged 79.
Born at Tibshelf and a lifelong resident of the area, she was a retired mid day supervisor.
Mrs Allen was a member of Mothers' Union for 41 years, was a regular church attendee at Blackwell, a member of Newton Women's Institute and O.A.P Club.
The widow of Derek, she leaves a son, a daughter and two granddaughters.
All donations to go to The Children's Society and Guide Dogs for the Blind.
The Service has taken place.
