Mrs Patricia Pauline Maltby (née Collins) of Wingerworth has passed away at Goldwell Manor Care Home on September 25, 2025, aged 89 years.
Born in Hollingwood to Irish parents, Pat lived in Wingerworth for 67 years.
Pat was predeceased by her husband Gordon, and leaves daughters Brigid and Rachel, son Jamie, grandchildren William, Isabelle, James, Francesca, Rebecca, and Fergus, sister Betty, and her nieces and nephews.
Pat worked as a shorthand typist at local companies and the Town Hall. She was the Manager's Secretary at East Midlands Electricity Board until her retirement.
Pat created a welcoming home, where she enjoyed her garden, cats, and music. She loved socialising with her many friends. A much-loved Mother and devoted Grandma, she took great pleasure in her grandchildren, treasuring the special bond she had with each of them.
Requiem Mass to take place at Church of the Annunciation on Monday, October 20, at 11.00am, followed by committal at Chesterfield Crematorium.
