Dr Paul Jacobs of Staveley has passed away at home, aged 65.
Born in Chesterfield and a lifelong local resident, Paul was a Doctor in Engineering, until his retirement five years ago.
His interests included steam engines and vehicle mechanics. He was a local councillor for the Liberal Democrats for ten years.
Paul leaves his wife Margarita.
The funeral service takes place on March 13, Staveley Methodist Church, at 11.45am.
