Reginald Hewitt Obituary
Mr Reginald Hewitt, known as Reg, of Ashgate, has passed away at Chesterfield Royal Hospital, following a short illness, aged 82.
Born at Brampton and a lifelong local resident, he began his working life on the railway, then served 12 years in the Royal Navy, after this joined Lampcamps, followed by Robinsons of Chesterfield, until retirement in 1999.
He enjoyed playing cricket and darts for many years, in later years played Crown Green bowls. He also liked gardening and for many years grew Chrysanthemums.
Reg leaves his wife Mavis, daughter Julie, son Garry, stepdaughter Claire and was a cherished grandpa to Noah.
The funeral service takes place on Friday 16th December 2016, Chesterfield Crematorium, at 12.30pm.
Family flowers only, donations to Ashgate Hospice.
