Richard Audis

Mr Richard Henry Audis, known as Harry , of Palterton, has passed away at The Vale Care Home, aged 95.Born at Palterton and a life-long resident of the area, he left school at the age of 14 and worked with his dad delivering milk by horse and cart, then worked on a farm for about nine years and then became a driver for NCB for 36 years, he retired at the age of 63.His interests included dancing, gardening and walking the dog.The husband of the late Beatrice and father of the late Glynn, he leaves son Francis, daughters-in-law Pat and Ann, grandchildren Keven and Helen, great-grandchildren Ashley, Richard, Jordon, Harry and Harvey.The funeral service has taken place at Brimington Crematorium.Funeral directors: Stubbins & Hope, 55 High Street, Bolsover, Chesterfield (01246 823355).
