Roger Hill
Mr Roger Stephen Hill passed away in Kent on September 25, 2025 aged 70 years.
Born in Chesterfield, he lived and spent much of his working life in the south of England. He worked in the filming industry where he specialised in lighting, but also had expertise in camera and sound operation. He had a particular involvement in many popular TV shows which were made at the TVS studios in Maidstone.
Roger divided his time between family commitments in Kent and Chesterfield where he had recently retired from a part-time job erecting the stalls for the Chesterfield Market.
Roger was an avid Sheffield United supporter and loved taking long walks, particularly with his two dogs, Rosie and Ted.
Roger will be greatly missed and leaves wife Julia, daughter Anna and husband Jonny, sons William and Edward and their partners Helen and Andrew, two granddaughters Izzy and River, brothers Andrew and Richard and his wife Lynda.
The funeral service will take place on Friday October 31 at 2pm, at Herne Bay Crematorium.
