Mrs Wendy Valerie Hindmarsh passed away peacefully at Chesterfield Royal
Hospital on 12 October 2025, aged 90 years. A beloved wife, mother, gran and great gran who devoted her life to her family. Born in Kettleshulme, Cheshire, Wendy had lived in Derbyshire for over 60 years.
She attended a private school for girls in Surrey as a child and afterwards spent some time farming with her parents. Married for nearly 60 years and with two daughters and a son, most of Wendy's life was dedicated to her family and to bringing up her children. She is lovingly remembered and will be missed by them all.
Wendy enjoyed sewing, baking, knitting and spinning as well as looking after
dozens of animals over the years, including her beloved dogs.
She spent time teaching machine knitting in her younger days.
Wendy leaves husband David, daughters Christine and Sarah, son Brent and
grandsons Liam and Alex,
along with six great grandsons.
A private cremation will take place. Funeral directors: Central Co-op,
