8th Anniversary
In Loving Memory of Our Mother, Betty Anderson (1925 – 13th October 2017)
13th Oct marks eight years since we said goodbye to our beloved mother, Betty. A proud and determined woman, she carried within her the strength of a matriarch who raised ten children, cherished twenty-six grandchildren, and lived to see her family grow with great-grandchildren and even great-great-grandchildren.
For over seventeen years, our mother battled Alzheimer's with courage and dignity, and though the illness took so much, it could never take away the love, laughter, and memories she gave us. Memories may have faded in her minds, but she never faded in ours.
She was not only a mother to us, but to many others too. Irish republican activists, who found care and kindness within our home, were fed and looked after by her as if they were her own. That is who she was, giving, steadfast, and endlessly generous.
Her love has left an everlasting imprint on our hearts and spirits. Though she is no longer with us, her strength continues to guide us every day. We take comfort in knowing that she rests peacefully with our beloved father, Dinky, and that their eldest daughter, Sheena, has now joined them, together with the wider family members who left us far too soon.
We love you, Mother. We miss you deeply. Your legacy lives on in each of us, in our families, and in all those whose lives you touched.
May you rest in peace.
She will always be remembered;
Anderson Family,
Our in-laws,
Grand children,
Great grandchildren; and
Great, great grandchildren.
