Patrick Mclaughlin Obituary

McLAUGHLIN PATRICK RIP
The family of the late Patrick McLaughlin (Gleneely) would like to thank most sincerely those who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement. We are extremely grateful to our family, friends and neighbours for their prayers and support throughout Patrick's illness and wake. Your help was very much appreciated. Our heartfelt thanks to all those who attended the removal from Beaumont Hospital and to those who braved the cold weather to meet the cortege in Derry, Muff and Gleneely. You gave Patrick a very warm welcome home. We thank Dr. Devlin, Dr. Siofra and Dr. Kelly together with the Public Health nurses and staff at Millbrae Surgery for their kindness and care. Thanks also to the ambulance men who drove Patrick to Letterkenny and Dublin Special thanks to all the nurses and doctors in Casualty, Letterkenny, Surgical 1 and to all those in AB Clery Ward in Beaumont who cared for Patrick. We were overwhelmed and extremely grateful to the many people who called at the house, brought food, cards, flowers and gave donations in lieu of flowers. Our thanks to you and to the many people who attended the funeral, particularly those who travelled long distances. Thank you to Liam Collin and Patrick McDermott for their help, advice and for the dignified way the funeral was carried out. We are very grateful to the members of the Gleneely Colts past and present, who made the guard of honour in Gleneely and at the Chapel. Many thanks also to the men who prepared the grave and to Fr. Paddy O'Kane who celebrated the Funeral Mass. A special word of thanks to the members of Bocan Choir and the many fabulous singers who joined them to provide such beautiful heart warming music for the Funeral Mass and graveside. Patrick would have been so impressed. We are indebted to those who set up the Hall and to the ladies who made the tea and to all those who sent sandwiches and food. Thank you all very much. It would be impossible to name individuals who helped us through the past few months but we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
