Patsy Doherty Obituary

DOHERTY
Patsy
(Margaret, Patricia)
The family of the late Patsy Doherty (84 Moyola Drive, Derry) wish to express our sincere gratitude and thanks to all those who offered their sympathy and condolences following our recent bereavement.
We wish to thank our extended family, friends and neighbours; those who called to the family home, those who sent mass cards, sympathy cards, those who phoned and sent other messages of sympathy. We wish to thank those who also sent flowers or made donations to the Foyle Hospice and Marie Curie in lieu of flowers. Your care, kindness and understanding at a most difficult time is most appreciated.
We wish to thank the doctors and medical staff at Quayside Medical Centre, the District Nursing Team at Shantallow Health Centre, Hospital at Home Team, Marie Curie and other medical staff who tended to mum with great care and attention over many months.
We also wish to thank mum's home team of carers who took such great care of mum in recent years with enormous dignity and respect.
We are particularly grateful to Fr John McDevitt, for his care, support and guidance during our recent bereavement, and his comforting words and prayers during the wake and requiem mass. We are also most grateful to Fr Joe Gormley, Fr Eamon Graham & Fr Sean O'Donnell for their prayers and support during this time.
We wish to thank the Steelstown Folk Group and Evy O'Donnell for assisting the family in providing the music for the requiem mass. Your time and talents were deeply appreciated.
We are most appreciative to family, friends and neighbours who could not attend the wake or funeral but joined the funeral service online, via the webcam.
Our thanks also to Bradley & McLaughlin funeral directors for their professionalism and care and the dignified manner in which they conducted the funeral.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deepest gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of Mass will be offered in thanksgiving and for everyone's intentions.

Auntie Patsy was one of a kind. She was an extremely kind person who made you feel so important and like you were the only person in the room. She will be sorely missed and our love will be with her forever. Much love
