Irene
On 19th September 2025, unexpectedly at Pinderfields General Hospital, surrounded by family, aged 85 years, Irene,
much loved wife of the late Ian, a dearly loved sister, treasured mother and grandmother,
and a true and loyal friend.
Irene trained and worked as a secretary, predominately at BOC (Baildon), regular at Huddersfield Lawn Tennis & Squash Club and a longstanding member of Hipperholme & Lightcliffe Art Society. Gifted with words and expression, she was an accomplished writer and talented painter, whose creativity
and kindness touched
all who knew her.
Funeral service to take place at Huddersfield Crematorium on Monday 27th October at 1:15pm, followed by a wake at Woodland Glade. Relatives and friends are warmly invited to attend both.
Family flowers only please. Donations, if so desired, will be gratefully received for
Cats Protection and Artists' General Benevolent Institution.
