Died in the comfort of her home with family around on the
13th of July, aged 87 years.
Daughter of the late Eric and
Cora Yorston and sister to Kenneth and Margaret.
Wife for over 60 years to her late beloved husband Gordon.
Mother to Steven, Jane and Karen and much-loved Nanny to Heather, Beau, Lucy, Sam, Toby, Felix and Gabriel, Great Nan to Eden. Mother-in-law to Becky,
Nick and Colin.
Jean has always been at the heart of her family and with Gordon gave a welcome home for friends and relatives both local and from around the world. Jean has been blessed to have such wonderful friends and neighbours over many years from dance hall days, shopping trips, bingo and just popping in for a chat.
She started work aged 15 in the textile mill at Rawfolds and as well as bringing up her family worked throughout her life in health centres, hospitals and
at Readmans.
The funeral service will be held
at Dewsbury Crematorium on the 4th of August at 2.00pm.
All are welcome to attend.
