Peacefully passed away, at Aaron House Care Home, Penicuik, on January 29, 2025. George, much loved husband to the late Nancy, loved dad to David and Mary, grandad to Sara, Luis and Joe, great-grandad to Harlow and Ruby, dear brother and uncle to the family and a good friend to many. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at Loanhead Parish Church, at 11.15 am, thereafter cremation at Mortonhall Crematorium, Main Chapel, at 12 noon, to which all are welcome. Family flowers only, please.

I have happy memories of George's kindness when assistant scoutmaster to the 19th Midlothian(Loanhead) Troop in the 1950s. A genuine and decent chap with a great sense of humour. My condolences to his family.
