Iain GRANT Obituary

GRANT
Pipe Major Iain
(Edinburgh)
(also affectionately known as Wyatt Earp)
The very dearly loved, admired and respected Pipe Major Iain Grant, who also regularly took on the guise of Wyatt Earp, died peacefully, with his family, at home, after a short illness, on Monday, October 20, 2025.
A beloved husband to Catherine, wonderful father and father-in-law to Kirsty and Grant, adored grandfather to Ellis, Ethan and Evan, cherished brother to Sheila and a dear uncle, there really was no one more important to Iain than his family.
Iain will forever be known as a living legend amongst his friends, family and those he worked with for his unwavering piping talent, his masterful storytelling, his humour, his love of Leith and Wyatt Earp and most importantly, his warm heart.
Iain's life will be remembered and celebrated at the Lorimer Chapel at Warriston Crematorium, on Thursday, November 6, at 2 pm. Family flowers only. A collection will be gathered for St Columba's Hospice and Marie Curie.
