PECKHAM Mrs Mary Johanna (nee Morrison) (Edinburgh) Called home quietly, on Thursday, August 26, 2010, surrounded by family and singing. Mary, beloved wife of the late Dr Colin Peckham, much loved mum of Colin, Heather and Christine and Nana to Sam, Eve and Andrew. With Christ which is far better. A Service of Thanksgiving will be held on Thursday, September 2, at the Faith Mission Centre, Gilmerton Road at 10 am, followed by an interment in Dean Cemetery. All friends welcome.

I will never forget her voice, her accent, her singing (in Gaelic) at a retreat on revival in the north of Scotland (somewhere near Durness) in the 1980s. When she sang, you could have fallen on the floor, under the anointing of God.
