After a short Illness, peacefully, at the Western General Hospital, on April 10, 2018. Beloved husband of Thirla and father of Roderick. Cherished granddad of Lindsay, Gayle and Patrick. Funeral service at Warriston Crematorium, Cloister Chapel, on Tuesday, May 1, at 1.30 pm. All family and friends welcome.

He brought more tears to my eyes than any other author I've ever read----tears of laughter!! I'm 76 and Retch and Rancid remain two of my favorite literary characters. I gave my granddaughter a copy of one of Pat's works that he signed for me in Billings, Montana. Thanks for the joy you put in my heart Pat.
