William 'Bill'
November 10, 1936 - November 28, 2025
Bill and his wife Maggie spent many of their happiest years in Linlithgow between 1966 and 2000 where they raised their two boys Finlay and Callum. Bill set up and ran the Linlithgow Primary School football team in the 1970s, he was a founding member of Linlithgow Athletic Club and Linlithgow Arts Guild and an active member of Linlithgow Golf Club for two decades. He was elected as a councillor to represent Linlithgow on Lothian Regional Council in the 1990s. With Maggie he moved to Galloway in 2000, then Peebles in 2019. His happy memories of life in Linlithgow remained with him until the onset of dementia in the last few years.
